We are currently experiencing some problems with the file system.

Because of this there are problems accessing the file system, logging in, etc.

We are working on finding the issue and getting it back online, but there is currently no ETA for this.

This news will be updated when we have more information.

Filesystem is up and running, but we are still looking into the problem, and there is a risk of further issues.

The partitions and queues are back up and the jobs are running again. **

The file system is now back online and the system works normally

File system is looking stable again, we'll continue to keep an eye on it at least until tomorrow.

File system has been stable for two days so we consider it fully online as of now.

On Monday 2022-06-27 we will start an upgrade of the file system servers.

Our hope is that this will reduce the amount of problems we have had the past couple of weeks.

The reason for the rather long maintenance window is that we will do some cleanup of potential and known problems before the upgrade and that is expected to take a relatively long time.

Further information on progress etc will be updated on this page.

The upgrade of the server code is done and initial file system checks have finished.

The problem is resolved and the system should be up and running normally now

Follow-up Cooling maintenance computer hall, cluster down 2022-04-05 13:00

We plan to have the cluster up again later this evening around 19.00

*** UPDATE 16.00 ***

Kebnekaise is back up again and everything is back to normal

The cooling has failed in the computer hall causing an emergency power break.

We're investigating the reason and will try to get the cluster back as soon as possible.

* UPDATE 2022-04-04 16:30 *

The cluster is being brought up, this will take a while longer.

But  more cooling-related work needs to be done tomorrow, so we have put a reservation on the cluster starting 2022-04-05 13:00.

This means that only short jobs will be allowed to start until after the next cooling work is finished and the system is safe to bring up fully.
